By day, I work to build and strengthen the reproductive freedom movement in Texas. In my free time and for money, I write words for the internet.

Previously, I worked as a writing assistant for The Texas Tribune Festival, a writing consultant for the UT Undergraduate Writing Center, and a blog and content writer for Fahrenheit Marketing.

In 2013 I received my Bachelor of Arts with highest honors in Plan II Honors, English, and Women’s and Gender Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. During my time at UT, I completed a thesis project on representations of wealth throughout the history of hip hop music. As the commencement speaker at my graduation ceremony, I had the unique opportunity to tell my peers and professors that they should be chronically underprepared.

I spend my free time touring craft breweries around Texas, watching Community re-runs (RIP), and reading. Aside from Texas politics and health news, I write about women, popular culture, unpopular culture, my feelings, and social justice.
